i took this when i went on a night hike with my dad. it was my first time with long exposures, and the moon and the stars and the night in general meant so much to me on this trip. i did so much thinking and i learned so much about myself just by sitting and staring at the pure beauty of it all.
this represents all of that. the quiet in the air and the way in which it transferred to my own mind to calm my tumultuous thoughts.
i went on this trip a few weeks after jake and i broke up, and this is where i did the majority of my “getting over,” and learning from it. learning to be okay in complete solitude.
